About

Tumak Music is a solo creator project run by the @TumakMusic account, primarily on YouTube, with a newsletter on Substack. This site at tumakmusic.com is the home for the project's videos, music, store, and contact channels.

Who you are buying from

Tumak Music is a sole proprietorship operated by Thomas Lolieux in British Columbia, Canada. That is the seller of record for everything sold here, and the party you are contracting with. Reach a human at [email protected]. Card statements and receipts show TUMAK MUSIC.

Use of this site

The free content here, the videos, the writing, and the audio embedded on these pages, is provided as-is for personal enjoyment. Embedded videos and audio remain the property of their respective owners. You may share links to this site freely.

Products bought from the store are different and are not covered by that sentence. What you can do with a kit you paid for is set out in the product license, which allows commercial use.

The store

Store products are digital downloads. Prices are in Canadian dollars and payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. After payment you get a receipt email with a download link that works for a limited number of downloads over a limited window, both stated on the receipt.

If your link expires, runs out, or never arrives, reply to the receipt email and we will issue a new one. Losing a link is not losing the product.

License

Buying a product gives you a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use its contents in your own new work, commercial use included. You may not resell or redistribute the raw files or repackage them into another pack. Full terms are on the product license page, and a copy ships inside every ZIP.

We keep ownership of the source material. You own what you make with it. Licensing a finished Tumak song for film, TV, or ads is a separate agreement: write to [email protected].

Refunds

Digital downloads are final once the download link has been sent. A file cannot be given back, so there is no returns window. You confirm this at checkout before paying, and you ask for the download to be made available immediately, which is what ends any cancellation right you would otherwise have had.

That is the policy, and here is the practice: if a file is corrupt, incomplete, or plainly not what the product page described, write to us and we will fix it or refund it. We would much rather hear from you than from your bank. If an order is refunded or charged back, its download link stops working.

Fair use of the download system

Download links are for the buyer. Sharing a link publicly, or scripting it, is a breach of these terms and we will disable the link. We log the time, IP address, and browser of each download attempt to enforce this and to answer payment disputes. See the Privacy Policy for how long that is kept.

If you subscribe to the Tumak newsletter, you provide your email so we can let you know when there's something new. We don't share your address with anyone. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email.

Liability

Products are provided as is. Our total liability for anything connected to a product is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

Changes

If these terms change meaningfully we update the date at the top. The version in force when you bought something is the version that applies to that purchase.
